Calibrating the Sunu Band

Apps that Require Calibration

Certain apps and features like the compass and Place Finder app require an extra step of calibrating the Sunu Band. The Sunu Band uses various internal sensors to know its position in space, as well as in which hand we have placed it. We calibrate the Sunu Band in order to insure that the sensors are properly synced and working for the application we want to use. Calibrating the Sunu Band only take a few minutes. To insure that sensors are working optimally, you may be required to calibrate the Sunu Band periodically or after a device reset is done or an update.

Calibrating the Sunu Band

Open the Sunu App, select the “Apps” tab and then “Sunu Band calibration”.

Before you initiate the calibration process, you must place the Sunu Band on a flat surface. Insure that the strap is fully open and that the touchpad is facing up.

Initiate the calibration process by pressing the “Start Calibration” button on mobile app. Allow about five seconds to pass before moving on to the next point.

Sunu Voice will begin prompting you throughout the process.

We took the bracelet with one hand, lifting it from the flat surface where it was, and began to make the gesture of the “infinite” or a “horizontal 8” slowly and slowly, while listening to the Sunu Voice that tells us the percentage of the calibration process. We make this gesture until we observe that the process stagnates at a certain percentage.

Then we rotate the bracelet on its own axis, as if turning it clockwise, until this time the percentage is completed and a vibration in the Sunu Band indicates that the calibration process has finished. If at any moment the percentage stagnates again, we would go on to make the sign of “8”, but in this vertical occasion, until the percentage returns.

Sunu Voice will prompt you as soon as the calibration is complete and the Sunu Band will vibrate as well.

Now we are ready to use the navigation and location applications of the Sunu Band.
