Finding your way with the Sunu Band Compass

The Sunu Band compass uses audio and haptic vibration queues to inform the user which cardinal direction they are facing. The Sunu Band uses various internal sensors to know its position in space, as well as which hand the user is wearing it. Before you begin, please make sure that Voice Service is enabled and that the Sunu Band is calibrated.

Step 1: Double-click on the HOME button of the Sunu Band to open the main menu of apps.

Step 2: Swipe on the touchpad to select the Compass.

Step 3: Double-tap on the touchpad to activate the compass app. (You can also activate the compass from within the mobile app. Simply select “Sunu Band compass” from within the Apps Tab.

Navigating with the compass

It is important that the Sunu Band sensors correctly detect the hand in which you are wearing the device in order to insure that the compass is working accurately. As soon as you activate the compass:

Step 1: lower your hand and arm to your side and wait 10 seconds. You can make a few movements with your arm stretched downwards so that the sensors capture well the location of the Sunu Band.

Step 2: Raise your forearm, with the palm of your hand facing downwards and point in any given direction to hear the cardinal direction.

Step 3: Sunu Voice will announce which direction on the compass we are facing (North, Northeast, East, Southeast, South, Southwest, West and Northwest). All this accompanied by different vibrations, which allows us to use this functionality even without having activated the voice services. For example, when we focus to the north the Sunu Band vibrates quickly and continuously. When facing south it vibrates in a slower and pulsed way or stachotto.

Step 4: Additionally, if we double-tap on the touchpad of the bracelet while focusing in a certain direction, we will obtain a much more precise orientation, listening to the degrees corresponding to that position in which we are (the 0 ° corresponding to the north, the 90 corresponding to the east, 180 degrees will be the south,  270 degrees to the west, (and all the intermediate degrees).

Exit the compass
